Zachary's Lingering Jaw Ache
Zachary woke up with a familiar dull ache in his jaw. It wasn't a sharp pain, but a constant, nagging discomfort that seemed to settle deep in his muscles. Lately, he’d noticed that mornings were the worst, and it often took a couple of hours for the tightness to ease, only to subtly return throughout the day. His partner, Paige, had even mentioned hearing a faint grinding sound from his side of the bed sometimes.
He'd tried different pillows, warm compresses, and even cutting back on his evening coffee, but nothing seemed to offer lasting relief. The persistent jaw ache was starting to impact his energy levels, making him feel fatigued even after a full night's sleep. He knew something wasn't quite right, and the idea of "grinding teeth" had started to surface in his thoughts more frequently.
Zachary often found himself unconsciously clenching his jaw during stressful moments at work, a habit he'd developed over the years. He wondered if this subconscious daytime habit was somehow connected to his nighttime symptoms, leading to this unpleasant and disruptive discomfort. He decided it was time to address the issue head-on.
